Throughout June, NeighborSpace hosted multiple live music and art events at our parks, in partnership with the Baltimore County Arts Guild and funded by a grant from the Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences. Starting on June 6th, NeighborSpace and Ridgely Manor Community Association hosted a Friday evening full of music at Ridgely Manor Park in Towson. Park neighbors and NeighborSpace supporters and staff gathered on the lawn and enjoyed a lively set by Celtic band Galway Strays!

The following weekend, the Northeast Towson Improvement Association, with support from NeighborSpace, hosted a neighborhood Paint ‘n Sip event. Neighbors of all ages gathered for the painting class at Carver Community Center in Towson. Participants were guided through the steps of painting elephants, resulting in a room full of vibrant multicolored masterpieces!

Finally (for this series, at least!), on June 21st, NeighborSpace and Graystone Community Association hosted a community celebration at Graystone Community Open Space in Woodlawn! Neighbors gathered for a summer afternoon outdoors, participating in a community art project and enjoying live music by Patrick Alban and his Buena Vistas band.

Thank you to everyone who assisted and attended these events! It was wonderful to witness communities coming together to enjoy music, art, the outdoors, and each other. One of our live music and art series events had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. We are hoping to reschedule that event in August – stay tuned for details!
