About This Space

Our largest forested site, Volz Neighborhood Park is a relatively intact urban forest surrounded by three different communities. This site was donated to NeighborSpace by the previous property owners to protect its ecological value as a riparian zone, and its social value as a greenspace for the surrounding communities.

  • Largest forested site
  • Conserved stream and vernal ponds
  • Haven for native plants, especially spring ephemerals
  • Mulched hiking trails throughout
  • Street parking
  • No bathrooms

Accessibility warning: Mulched trail; some downed trees, a few of which require some climbing.
