About This Space

This site was part of the land given to freed enslaved people after the dissolution of the Ridgely Estate. Being very swampy, no residence has stood on the property since 1922. NeighborSpace conserved this site with the express purpose of providing green space to the surrounding community in Historic East Towson. The park was named after a beloved local community activist.

  • Ongoing active restoration to make more of the park accessible
  • Planted with an edible forest
  • Great site for birding
  • Includes benches and community gathering space
  • Limited street parking
  • No bathrooms

 Accessibility warning: Mulched trail.
